This new book is the true story of a love affair with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the Indian Guru followed by the Beatles, Donovan, Mike Love, Mia Farrow, Deepak Chopra, David Lynch, as well as 6 million other meditators around the world.
Maharishi was very successful in spreading his technique of Transcendental Meditation. But rumours that he was not the celibate monk he claimed to be have been circulating for decades.
In this book Judith Bourque describes the love affair she experienced with Maharishi when she went to India as a young woman to become a teacher of Transcendental Meditation. After following him around the world for an intense period of two years she then discovered that he was also intimate with other young women. Frightened and disillusioned, she left the TM movement. She also shares the methods and means of her healing journey back to forgiveness and gratitude..
Robes of Silk Feet of Clay includes over 70 color photographs (most of which have never been published before) as well as Maharishi’s handwritten letters, handwritten notes about his mantras, and a witness testimonial written by one of the ex “Skin Boys”.

Judith is so clear and has such a loving attitude in this interview! It was interesting and a joy to listen to her; so open, relaxed and wise.
Thank you Judith for your courage and openness! I am looking forward to reading your book! Do you give workshops too?
Well done Judith! I applaud you for doing this. My personal take on this is that I think we give our power away to organisations, guru’s, teachers etc when we are on a spiritual path. We tend to let our guards go when we are in this space and let go. I am talking from experience – I managed to join an Ilchee Lee Cult without even knowing what it was. I understand it was an experience that I needed to go through to learn and oh boy did I learn! My experience taught me to trust and love myself more than any other third party no matter who or what they are. A valuable lesson I think. And also some bits that Judith mentioned too. Thanks.
